This harmonious blend of Chardonnay and Grillo, named after father Aurelio, is our flagship wine. The Chardonnay gives elegance and a particularly fragrant bouquet, thanks to the altitude of the vineyard and the Grillo imparts richness, roundness and it’s bold taste.
Chardonnay grapes come from Fiuminello, a 1 hectare vineyard at 830 meters above sea level. The Grillo from the hillside Paradiso vineyard, planted on limestone-rich soils. The grapes are harvested by hand. Fermentation in steel tanks and two French barrels of Grillo, blended and refined on the lees for about 9 months.
The wine is pale yellow with a very expressive bouquet. The hints of ripe grapefruit, raspberry, citrus white flowers. Notes of raspberry and orange peel on the finish.
