One of the few ‘high-altitude’ Nero d’ Avolas you’ll find. Fresh, mineral and elegant, it is a departure in style and a unique expression of Sicily’s king of grapes.
Nero d’Avola is particularly concentrated and full of character, thanks to the rigorous work in the vineyard and low yields. The grapes, harvested by hand, are crushed and de-stemmed, fermentation in stainless steel tanks and a long warm-maceration with the skins extracts soft tannins and a lot of character. Partial passage in French oak barrels for 6 months.
Intense deep red color with violet reflections. Cherry notes covered with chocolate and runes followed by a pinch of toasted bread and spices, elegant and very pleasant finish.
