The wine takes it’s name from the Gerbino vineyard, the oldest family Feudo where the small country house Gerbino still stands today. This is a harmonious blend of Nero d’Avola, Syrah, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon.
After harvest, the grapes are destemmed. Each variety is vinified separately with warm maceration on the skins for around 18 days. A percentage of the wine has a passage in 2nd year barriques before blending.
Intense red color with purple hues. On the nose berries, plums and black pepper. The elegance of the wines is evident in the mouth soft tannins and well-balanced flavors of fruit, toast and spice.
